LMS for Reading

Forrest City School District
Press Release

Students at Lincoln Middle School have a new spot to read in the 5th grade building, thanks in part to a donation from National Carpet in Forrest City.

The idea for the Reading Room came from Lincoln Middle School Assistant Principal Tammie Moore. Mrs. Moore's Reading Room is set up as a lounge where students can have the opportunity to develop an interest and desire to read.

Assistant Principal Tammie Moore says, "We hope this room will promote good reading habits for children." When students finish their classroom work, they may ask permission from their teacher and are then allowed to come and occupy the room to read. This program has been very successful.
